Viewsitu Terms of Service

Version: 1.1

Last updated: 27 October 2026

1. About these terms

1.1 Viewsitu is a trading name of Verdine Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17228684), registered office 6 Bushmead Avenue, Bedford, MK40 3QL ("Viewsitu", "we", "us").

1.2 These terms apply when you use the Viewsitu website and app (the "Service"). By creating an account, or by accepting them when we ask you to, you agree to them. Please read them carefully, especially sections 5 (token expiry), 7 (cancellation and refunds), 10 (your responsibility for the rights in your content), 12 (accuracy), 13 (enforcement), 17 (closing your account), 18 (liability) and 19 (your responsibility to us).

1.3 How we use your personal data is explained in our Privacy Notice.

1.4 Contact: support@viewsitu.com for help with the Service; privacy@viewsitu.com for questions and requests about your personal data; legal@viewsitu.com for legal notices.

2. Who can use Viewsitu

2.1 You must be at least 18 years old. By creating an account, you confirm that you are.

2.2 Consumers and business users. You are a "consumer" if you use the Service wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession. You are a "business user" if you use it for your trade, business, craft or profession, including as a professional artist, curator, agent or gallery. We ask which applies when you sign up. Some sections of these terms apply differently to consumers and business users, and nothing in these terms affects the rights consumers have by law.

3. Your account

3.1 Each account is for one person. Do not share your login or let anyone else use your account.

3.2 You may hold only one account. Creating multiple accounts, including to obtain extra sign-up tokens or to abuse promotions or referrals, is not allowed.

3.3 Keep your login details secure and tell us promptly at support@viewsitu.com if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity on your account unless it results from our failure to keep the Service secure.

3.4 The information you give us must be accurate, including whether you are a consumer or a business user.

4. Beta features

While Viewsitu, or a feature of it, is labelled as beta, it is still being developed: it may change or be withdrawn, contain errors, give variable results or be unavailable at times. We provide beta features as they are, and make no promise about their availability or results beyond what the law requires (for consumers, see section 18.3). The token cost of a beta feature is shown before you use it, in the same way as for any other feature (section 5.1).

5. Tokens

5.1 Tokens are used to pay for certain paid features in the Viewsitu app. The number of tokens an action costs is shown before you confirm the use of that feature.

5.2 You are charged tokens for a mockup only when we deliver it. While a mockup is being generated, its cost is held from your balance. If the generation fails, including when it is blocked by our AI providers' safety systems or does not pass our automatic quality checks, no tokens are charged.

5.3 Types of token and expiry.

Type How you get them Expiry
Sign-up tokens Free when you create an account Do not expire
Promotional and referral tokens Promotions and referral schemes As stated in the terms of the promotion
Purchased tokens Bundles you buy 12 months from purchase

5.4 Your balance and the expiry dates of your purchased tokens are shown in Account → Tokens. We will email you before purchased tokens expire. When you spend tokens, we use free tokens (sign-up, promotional and referral tokens) before purchased tokens, and within each, the ones that expire soonest first.

5.5 Tokens have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money except where these terms provide for a refund, and cannot be transferred or sold to anyone else. Expired tokens are not refunded.

6. Buying tokens

6.1 Prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, and include VAT or sales tax where applicable. The price that applies is the one shown when you buy.

6.2 Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment.

6.3 Token bundles are one-off purchases. The tokens are added to your balance when payment is confirmed.

6.4 Price changes. We may change the price of token bundles and the number of tokens an action costs. New bundle prices apply only to future purchases. Reductions take effect immediately.

6.5 If we increase the number of tokens an action costs, we will email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect, explaining what is changing. Before that date, you can ask us to refund your unused purchased tokens. If we don't hear from you before that date, we will treat you as having accepted the change.

7. Cancellation and refunds

7.1 Your 14-day right to cancel (consumers). You can cancel a token bundle within 14 days of purchase. Your tokens are available straight away, and by using them within those 14 days you ask us to start providing the Service before the cancellation period ends. If you cancel, we refund the price of the tokens you haven't used and keep the value of the tokens you've used; if you haven't used any, we refund the full price.

7.2 Other refunds. We will also refund unused purchased tokens if you were charged in error, if your account was used without your permission, if the Service failed because of a fault on our side, or if we restricted your account by mistake.

7.3 Outside sections 7.1 and 7.2, purchases are not refundable, except that if you delete your account you can ask us to refund your unused purchased tokens (section 17.2). This doesn't affect your legal rights if the Service or a mockup is faulty or not as described (section 18.3).

7.4 To ask for a refund, email support@viewsitu.com. Refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 14 days of our agreeing them.

7.5 If you raise a chargeback for a payment that was valid, we may suspend your account while it is resolved.

7.6 How token refunds are worked out. Whenever these terms say we refund unused purchased tokens, we refund the price you paid for each unused token in the purchase it came from. Tokens count as spent in the order set out in section 5.4, so free tokens count as spent before purchased ones.

8. Your content

8.1 Inputs and outputs. "Your content" means your inputs and your outputs. Inputs are what you upload or enter, such as images of artworks, room and venue photos (scenes), and details such as sizes, placement and frames. Outputs are what the Service creates from your inputs, such as mockups (images we generate with AI) and the layouts and previews you make in the editor.

8.2 Ownership. We don't claim ownership of your content. Rights in outputs are covered in section 9.

8.3 Licence to us. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and display your content, and to let our service providers do so on our behalf, only to: provide the Service to you (for example, generating your mockups, showing them to you, and sending your inputs to the AI providers we use for that purpose); give you support and find and fix problems with the Service; enforce these terms; and comply with the law. The licence ends when the content is permanently deleted, as described in our Privacy Notice, except where the law requires us to keep it.

8.4 No AI training. We never use your content to train AI models.

8.5 Our marketing. We will only use your content in our marketing, such as on our website or social media, if you give us explicit permission for that specific use.

8.6 How we handle your content. When our staff may view your content, which providers process it and on what terms, and how long we keep it are described in our Privacy Notice.

8.7 You can delete your content at any time. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you want to keep.

9. Outputs

9.1 As between you and us, and to the extent permitted by law, you own your outputs. We hereby assign to you all our right, title and interest, if any, in them.

9.2 Mockups and other AI-generated outputs are created by AI models from your inputs and instructions. Copyright and similar rights in AI-generated material vary by country and may not exist in some places. We do not promise that any rights exist in an output.

9.3 Because of how AI models work, similar outputs may be generated for other users. Rights in another user's output are not yours, and rights in yours are not theirs.

9.4 You may use and share your outputs online and offline, including on social media, websites, in print and in sales materials, as long as you follow sections 10 and 11.

10. Your responsibilities for your content

10.1 You confirm that you have the right to use everything you upload in the way you use it in the Service:

10.2 Public and commercial use. To publish your content or use it commercially, you must hold the rights to what it shows, or have the express or implied permission of the people who do, or the law must otherwise allow that use.

10.3 People in scenes. Please avoid uploading room, venue and scene photos that show identifiable people. If a photo does show someone who can be identified, you must have their permission to upload it. Artworks may depict people, for example portraits and photographs.

10.4 Trademarks and logos may appear in your content only if you own the rights or have permission to use them.

11. Acceptable use

11.1 You must use the Service and your outputs only for lawful and legitimate purposes. You must not:

11.2 Our AI providers' safety systems may block some content, even where these terms allow it. You must not try to get around them, for example by disguising content so it isn't blocked. Tokens are not charged for generations that are blocked.

12. Accuracy of outputs and measurements

12.1 Outputs are visualisations. We work to make scale, measurements, colour, lighting and perspective as accurate as we can, but they are approximations and depend on the images and information you provide.

12.2 Check measurements and appearance independently before making decisions about installation, hanging, framing, printing or buying. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses resulting from relying on an output or measurement produced by Viewsitu without doing so.

12.3 Mockups are AI-generated and may contain small imperfections, for example in fine detail, texture, reflections or the edges of objects, and parts of the room may differ slightly from your photo. The more artworks a mockup contains, and the smaller each one appears, the less fine detail each artwork keeps. These are part of how the Service works and don't make a mockup faulty. A mockup is faulty if, for example, an artwork is missing, distorted, cropped, in the wrong place or clearly the wrong size, or the room has been clearly changed beyond the lighting, shadows and reflections that go with the artwork. If you think a mockup is faulty, tell us at support@viewsitu.com and we will re-run it or return its tokens.

13. Enforcement

13.1 Serious breaches. If we reasonably believe you have uploaded unlawful content, used the Service to mislead or defraud, or abused our systems deliberately, we may remove content and suspend or close your account immediately. We will tell you why, unless the law prevents it. We report unlawful content to the relevant authorities where the law requires it or it is appropriate.

13.2 Other breaches. For other breaches, such as uploading a photo of a person without their permission, we will usually remove the content concerned and tell you why. Repeated breaches may lead to suspension or closure.

13.3 If we close your account under section 13.1, unused tokens are forfeited, except where the law requires otherwise. If we close it under section 13.2, we will refund your unused purchased tokens. If we closed your account by mistake, section 13.4 applies.

13.4 If you think we have made a mistake, email support@viewsitu.com and we will review our decision. If we restricted your account by mistake, we will restore it and refund or reinstate any tokens affected.

14. Feedback

If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely, without any obligation to you.

15. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and the Viewsitu name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any rights in it except the right to use the Service as set out here.

16. Changes to the Service

16.1 We may change, add or remove features, for example to improve the Service, reflect changes in technology or our providers, or comply with law. We will tell you about significant changes. If a change significantly reduces what you can do with tokens you have already bought, you can ask for a refund of your unused purchased tokens within 14 days of our telling you about it.

16.2 If we decide to stop providing the Service entirely, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund unused purchased tokens.

16.3 We may close an account without cause by giving 30 days' notice, in which case we will refund unused purchased tokens.

17. Closing your account

17.1 You can delete your account at any time in Account → Profile. For 30 days after you do, you can restore it by signing in. After that, your content and personal details are permanently deleted, as described in our Privacy Notice, and any tokens left in your account are removed.

17.2 Unused tokens are not refunded automatically when you delete your account. If you email support@viewsitu.com before your account is permanently deleted, we will refund your unused purchased tokens. Sign-up, promotional and referral tokens are not refunded. We will show your balance and ask you to confirm before deletion.

17.3 Sections that by their nature are meant to continue after your account is closed continue to apply, including sections 7, 8.3, 8.4, 9, 10.2, 12, 13.3, 13.4, 14, 17.2, 18, 19, 21 and 22.

18. Our liability

If you are a consumer

18.1 We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

18.2 If you are a consumer, we are not liable to you for business losses, such as loss of profit, business or business opportunity. If you use Viewsitu for your trade or profession, you are a business user and sections 18.4 to 18.7 apply instead.

18.3 Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights, including that digital content and services we supply must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, and supplied with reasonable care and skill. If you are a consumer living outside the UK, we exclude implied warranties (such as merchantability) to the extent your local law allows, and you keep any rights it does not let us exclude.

If you are a business user

18.4 We will provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. If something goes wrong because we have not, tell us at support@viewsitu.com and we will take reasonable steps to put it right. What that involves depends on the circumstances.

18.5 Mockups and other AI-generated outputs are produced by AI models whose results vary and cannot be fully predicted. We work to make them good, but we do not promise any particular appearance, quality or result. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all other warranties, conditions and terms, whether express or implied, including that the Service or any output will be fit for a particular purpose, will not infringe third-party rights, or will be uninterrupted or error-free.

18.6 We are not liable to you for any loss of profits, sales, business, revenue or goodwill, loss or corruption of data, or any indirect or consequential loss.

18.7 Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) £100.

For everyone

18.8 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

19. Your responsibility to us

19.1 Business users will indemnify us against all losses, damages, costs (including reasonable legal fees) and liabilities arising from claims by third parties that your content, or your use of the Service or outputs, infringes their rights or breaks the law.

19.2 If we receive a claim covered by section 19.1, we will tell you within a reasonable time, keep you informed, and consult you before settling it. We will decide how to handle the claim, and you will give us the reasonable help we ask for, at your own cost. We will take reasonable steps to limit our losses. If we are late in telling you about a claim, that reduces what you owe only to the extent the delay increased your losses.

19.3 Consumers are responsible for losses they cause us by breaking these terms, where those losses were a foreseeable result of the breach.

19.4 If we receive a complaint or claim about your content, including under section 23, we may remove it while we look into the matter, and we may disclose information about you where the law requires it or to respond to a valid legal claim, as set out in our Privacy Notice.

20. Changes to these terms

20.1 We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes to the Service or the law.

20.2 For material changes, we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect, explaining what is changing. Price changes follow section 6.5. Before the changes take effect, you can close your account and ask us to refund your unused purchased tokens (section 17.2), as well as your rights under section 7. If we don't hear from you before that date, we will treat you as having accepted the changes. We keep previous versions of these terms available on request.

20.3 Minor changes that do not reduce your rights, such as clarifications, take effect when we publish them.

21. Complaints, disputes and governing law

21.1 If you have a complaint, please email support@viewsitu.com first; we aim to resolve complaints within 14 days. If we can't resolve your complaint, we'll tell you in writing and give you details of an alternative dispute resolution provider, and whether we're willing to use it.

21.2 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a business user, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

21.3 If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in your local courts. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings where those laws allow.

22. General

22.1 If you are a business user, these terms, together with our Privacy Notice and any terms you accept for a promotion, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.

22.2 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, for example if the business is sold; we will tell you, and your rights will not be reduced. You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our written consent.

22.3 If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest continues to apply.

22.4 If we delay in enforcing these terms, we can still enforce them later.

22.5 No one other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.

22.6 We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, and we will take reasonable steps to minimise their effect.

22.7 Sanctions. You may not use the Service if you are named on a UK, US, EU or UN sanctions list, or owned or controlled by someone who is, or if you are located or ordinarily resident in a country or region subject to comprehensive UK, US, EU or UN sanctions. We may also restrict the Service in other countries, for example where our AI or payment providers do not operate, or to prevent fraud. If we close your account under this clause, we will refund your unused purchased tokens unless the law prevents us.

22.8 We contact you by email at the address on your account, or through the app. Legal notices to us must be sent to legal@viewsitu.com or by post to our registered office.

23. Copyright and other intellectual property complaints

23.1 If you believe content on Viewsitu infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, email legal@viewsitu.com, or write to Verdine Ltd, 6 Bushmead Avenue, Bedford, MK40 3QL, marked "Copyright complaint". Please include:

23.2 We may remove or disable access to content while we look into a complaint. We will tell the user concerned, unless the law or the circumstances prevent it, and they can reply to legal@viewsitu.com, for example to show that they have permission. If their reply satisfies us, we may restore the content.

23.3 We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe other people's rights, in appropriate circumstances, under section 13.
